KAT Riders Policy

 

  1. KAT requires the exact fare at boarding. Drivers do not carry cash and do not make change.
  2. Riders must be prepared to board the bus at the designated pick up time and location. drivers are directed to wait three (3) minutes before departing
  3. Riders must follow the directions of the bus driver at all times.
  4. Riders are to stay seated at all times when the bus is in motion.
  5. Personal belongings are to be stowed under the seat or in your lap. Aisles are not to be blocked.
  6. All body parts are to be kept inside the bus at all times.
  7. Spitting or throwing of objects on or out of the bus is not allowed.
  8. Profanity, disrespectful language, obscene gestures or being loud is not allowed on the bus.
  9. Consumption of food or any type of beverage on the bus is not allowed.
  10. All wheelchairs, electric chairs or Amigo/scooter must be tied down and secured to the floor of the bus for the safety of all passengers and the driver.
  11. Personal electronic devices are permitted with the use of headphones.
  12. Animals, with the exception of Service dogs, are allowed only in an approved closed container that fits on the passengers lap, or on the floor in front of or under the riders seat.
  13. No shows are tracked by dispatch and must be paid before passenger will be allowed to schedule future rides.
  14. Soliciting or panhandling is not allowed on the bus.
  15. Interferring with anothers personal space either by touching or objectionable odors is not permitted.
  16. Any and all fraud and drug trafficking will be reported to law enforcement and customer will be permanently banned from service.

 Severe Disruption:
 Refusal to obey driver’s requests, property damage to the bus, physical harm or threat of harm to any passenger or the driver, bringing weapons or any illegal or controlled substances on the bus, are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or being overtly loud causing disruption on the bus will result in automatic and immediate indefinite suspension of transportation privileges.
